Operation Olympiad - 5th grade
instructional seminar
Sometimes you just can't stay away from a good math problem! For this group of students, mathematical problem-solving is a stimulating experience they just can't resist! These fifth graders decided they'd like to meet once a week during recess to work in teams to break down some serious math problems and then discuss the strategies they used to solve them. Awesome!
Strength in Numbers:
Each team works together to try to successfully solve advanced math problems.

What's in it for US?
Whenever we get the right answer, a sticker is added to our sticker cards. Once a whole row of stickers is achieved, we get a trip to Mrs. Young's prize box! Though the prizes are motivating, the real reward for this group is coming up with the correct answer to the math problem! Want to try one???
